Internal Consultant

Internal Consultant Role:

The Internal Consultant works under the direction of the EPMO to analyze business and technical processes and is a major contributor to requirements definition, specification and documentation. This position acts as the primary liaison between business owners and IT and ensures the technologies implemented support the core business functions. Performs feasibility analysis, scopes projects, and works with the EPMO to prioritize and manage project delivery. This position will support project management through scheduling, documentation and follow-up.

Essential Duties:

  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings across multiple functional groups
  • Assess core business operations and processes
  • Conduct problem solving and data analysis
  • Recommend and document areas for improvement
  • Create solution design documents and deliverables
  • Establish target deadlines for projects to align with company goals
  • Identify and resolve implementation barriers, issues and risks
  • Participate in status meetings and take meeting notes
  • Create and maintain strong working relationships with vendors and internal staff
  • Create project activity plans and manage projects to completion, both on-time and within budget
  • Provide training for staff on various software platforms and programs
  • Lead/conduct testing in UAT/Production environments for product and systems implementations

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • 1-2 years of experience in business or information technology
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Computer literacy and proficient with technology
  • Experience with MS-Office Products, most notably Word, Excel, PowerPoint and VISIO
  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues and external vendors
  • Ability to work under pressure while continuing to use creativity and good judgment
  • Ability to multi-task and complete assignments on time
  • Ability to work independently and in group settings

Required Education/Experience:

Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or any related field from an accredited institution strongly preferred
