FAQ’s regarding Colorado Choice Health Plans

 

What is the relationship between Friday and Colorado Choice now?

In June 2017, Friday Health Plans acquired Colorado Choice Health Plans. Under the acquisition, Colorado Choice is a wholly owned for-profit subsidiary of Friday.

 

Is Colorado Choice keeping its name or changing it to Friday Health Plans?

Colorado Choice is changing its name to Friday Health Plans, and you will see this transition over several months. The transition should be complete by early 2018.

 

What about my current Colorado Choice Health Plan (individual or group plan)?

Your Colorado Choice plan will remain in place and unchanged for the duration of the plan year. When you renew your plan, you will renew with Friday Health Plans.

 

Do I need to get a new member ID card now that Colorado Choice has changed its name to Friday?

No, your Colorado Choice member ID card will work for the duration of your plan period.

 

Will the Colorado Choice staff and office remain in Alamosa?

Yes, the Alamosa staff and office is the operational core of Friday Health Plans. Customer service, claims, regional sales support, finance and other key functions will remain in Alamosa. Friday Health Plans also has an office in Denver that houses the Friday executive team. We are committed to the rural community and serving members in rural areas of Colorado, and we also intend to expand into Denver and new markets.

 

Do I still pay my bill to Colorado Choice?

Yes, if you pay by check, you can continue to make it out to Colorado Choice through the end of 2017. The address remains the same at 700 Main St, Suite 100, Alamosa, CO 81101.
