From free preventive STI screenings to $0 birth control, you've got a bunch of sexual health perks. Let’s talk about where and how you’re covered with Friday.

Free preventive STI screenings

Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are, unfortunately, way more common than many of us might think. According to the CDC, nearly 26 million new cases of STIs occur in America each year. Equally troubling, it’s estimated that undiagnosed STIs cause 24,000 women to become infertile each year.

But here’s the good news: With your Friday plan, you’re covered with free preventive STI screenings.

At your annual well exam, your primary care doc can run the following preventive tests for free*:

• Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Screening
• Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) Screening
• Hepatitis A, B, and C Screening
• Chlamydia Screening (for sexually active women)
• Gonorrhea Screening (for sexually active women)
• Syphilis Screening

*These tests are completely free as preventive screenings (before you have symptoms).

Get $0 birth control

Put that wallet away. With every Friday health plan, you get access to free birth control.

Friday’s no cost birth control includes many types of birth control pills, IUDs, the NuvaRing, and Depo Provera — which you can find on the Friday formulary. (If you have questions, please give us a call to make sure your method is $0.)

Quick note: When making an appointment with your OB/GYN or primary care doctor to discuss birth control options, be sure to ask if they prescribe birth control. Not all physicians’ offices prescribe birth control.

Free cancer screenings

Your Friday health plan covers a wide range of cancer screenings. Below are the free tests and screenings designed to protect your sexiest parts:

• Breast Cancer Mammogram Screening (for women at risk)
• Breast Cancer Genetic Testing (for women at higher risk)
• Cervical Cancer Screening (Pap Smear)
• Colorectal Cancer Screenings (for adults over 50)
• Ovarian Cancer Screening (for women with increased risk)

Your friend really doesn’t need to see that…

Asking your friend or roommate if that rash on/around your sexy bits “looks weird” probably isn’t going to produce a correct diagnosis. So, if you’re concerned about something weird going on that needs immediate medical attention, use one of these great healthcare services instead:

Teladoc

As an extra benefit with every Friday health plan, you can speak to a doctor online or over the phone as many times as you'd like for a $0 fee. Teladoc is the easiest and fastest way to get remote care from a medical professional for non-emergency illnesses like sinus problems, respiratory infection, allergies, urinary tract infection, the cold, flu symptoms -- as well as rashes and itches that may be caused by a STI. Go to urgent care

To find an urgent care center in the Friday network (which you can visit for a $75/$80 flat fee* for most plans), check out our provider search.

*Catastrophic plans, Bronze, and Bronze HSA plans need to reach their deductible, then urgent care visits cost $0.

Use one of your free doctor visits

Many Friday health plans* come with get unlimited free visits with your primary care doctor. That’s after your annual well checkup, where your doc can run preventive STI screenings.

At any rate, if you’ve got a weird itch, rash, or pain, set up an appointment with your primary care doc.

*Catastrophic plans come with three free primary care visits. Unlimited free visits are included with Bronze Plus, Silver, and Gold plans.

Gonna be a mom? Congratulations! With so much to be excited about, Friday has you covered throughout the whole process with your doctors and delivery team. To start, be sure to pick an OBGYN that will deliver your baby at an in-network hospital.

Your Friday Health Plan will cover the standard health tests, supplements, exams and hospital delivery and stay. Don’t forget to give us a call when your bundle of joy arrives so they can join your Friday plan and receive all the health benefits for new babies.
